Thanks for that link, I think we will stay away from Vanreel, and my experience with Terry cars was no better, looks like it is back to good old Gold car.

most companys need you to pay with a card.so get one.visa is the one you need.thing is would you like it if you booked a car and was paying cash.and you did not turn up.try looking at carjet

We have a debit card, but not a credit card and from past experience we have no intentions of having one, I tried carjet but they are even more expensive than goldcar. I have just contacted goldcar and the nice lady advised to book a car at the current price, but to check every few days as the price is likely to come down between now and June, she said then just amend your booking and we will get the same car for the new lower price. She said that repeat customers will be receiving emails in the next few months with even better deals for their loyal custom.
So I think we will stay with them as they have been great in the past with us, I know others do not recommend goldcar but we do.
As Dara my wife says "stick with the ones you know give great service"
