You're going to India - a land of 500 million veggies - Seriously there's loads - from local pure-veg cafes to Little Italy in Calangute to god knows how many veggie places and tofu bars in Anjuna
Plantain Leaf is excellent!, But as the previosu poster says, there are tons of vegie places so you won't be stuck. There is also a very nice veggie restaurant on Titos Rd,Baga, Citrus, very nice and upmarket.
great thanks for that can't wait now sun, sea, and loads of nice food
We tried Citrus last year, the menu sounded very impressive, the staff were lovely but the food wasn't actually that good. Our favourite place has to be Bean Me Up in Anjuna, fantastic food all day long. The food at Little Italy is great but the setting is more than a little bizarre. Have to second the vote for the Plantain Leaf too - lovely food & very cheap. You're going to be spoilt for choice, hope you enjoy it
the girl who used to run it came back to England to open similar in Birmingham. The new owners kept her menu and inproved the building but the food is not as good.

Ditto all the above - Plantain Leaf is great and the purely vegetarian Navtara in Panjim is worth the taxi fare!
Casa Seashell inn Candolim, excellent veggie meals, allan.
Bean Me Up - homemade tofu and tempeh , soya milk and ice cream, excellent salads. Also good pizzas, homemade carrot cake, great homemade taco chips with interesting dips. Its all good.
You don't need to go to special veggie places to have veggie choices in India. In fact it's more difficult finding meat dishes half the time.
Citrus still wasn't opened last week and we were told it's no longer veggie.
The best meal we had during our fortnight was at All Spice in Arpora (all three of them).

Lttle Italy is veggie Italian nosh house, quite a swish venue too !
