I dont think I have ever gone on a sun holiday in Europe that had a double bed, usually 2 singles and you just push them together and you have an extra big double bed. Enjoy your trip. Santa Ponsa in August will be hot, hot.

Verdemar is only about 5 mins from beach and you are front line to the sea. The pool is right beside the sea. We stayed in these apartments twice but in a private apartment so not sure about the single bed thing!
Some of the rooms look over the bay and out to sea while the ones on the other side have a view on the street and bushes! They are central so quite easy to get everywhere. If you come out the front door of the apartments and turn left you'll head up towards the square which has entertainent on nightly and there are a number of restaurants & bars up this way. Turning left out of the apartments takes you to the centre of the resort.

Hi depends what you're looking for. the busiest and in my opinion the best pubs are in the irish quarter, Durty Nellys, Seans place, waxy oconnors to name but a few, Durtys and the Shamrock are opened to 4am and if you're still on your feet, Greenhills and Farma are opened to six. great atmosphere although after a while you might get fed up with irish music all the time but there are plenty of bars that play also the usual chart, holiday stuff. enjoy your holiday..
