Yes, I stayed a Villa Gardenia last year. It's quite a small family run business. The apartments are fairly basic but adequate. We stayed in the one bedroom apartments but there are 2 bedroom Dublex apartments which are much roomier. The people were friendly and the pool although not massive was fine. It's only 10 mins walk to the village, which is handy. We've been visiting Dalyan for years and this year have bought a place approx 200 yards from Villa Gardenia as the location suits us. I'll be out there in 2 weeks and again in 8. Hope you enjoy your hols!
thanks goatie, quite looking forward to it now, just over 6 weeks to go, we going out the 21st july about same time as you then i think ,
yes brian the site you gave is the place we are staying, looks great, not badly priced
sorry spelt your name wrong, thank you Briar
Most enjoyable stay at the apartments, the rooms are well cleaned ,pool was large enough to accomadate the apartments, food that was available was snacks- chips. burgers, cheese and tomotoe toasties, and best of all the home made spaghetti bolognese in a mouth watering sauce, these are self catering apartments, within 10 minutes walk of the village, poolside bar , also just around corner from the turkish bath.
We have stayed in all the usual places, loved them all, like some thing going on in the evening, nice bars, food, shops.
Peace and quiet during the day, nice views and beach.
there are plenty of bars and places to eat in Dalyan, you do not get hassled as much as you do in places such as Marmaris , The night life is great, there are disco places as my daughter found out- she returned home at 5.30am - i think it is a lot safer over there as well , not like it is over here, there are hotels and apartments in the village as well as just outside,we went looking round these and they appear to be ok, the Metin is right in the village, they have a website, the beach is accessable either by boat or dolmus, boat takes 40 mins, the dolmus 30 mins, either way is a way of looking at the area , i preferred the boat ,the beach is smashing, clean , it has sunloungers and parasols for rent , 7.50 lira for 2 loungers and 1 parasol- £ 3.00 in english money , nothing really, the sand is very hot under foot ,, food wise we as a family of 4 was eating out at a restaraunt for 20 to 25 pound a night , that included 2 drinks each, a main meal . a starter or a dessert each, not bad at all. we intend to go again next year, 1st day back at work today and booked time off already,
