Thanks David i logged on this morning to find my posting had vanished so i wrote another!!!Upon further inspection i found it with the others and your message!Thanks again i'll take all the advice on board

its such a shame to see these bad reports on these apartments as i used to live in salou (2001) and visited these apartments on a daily basis and they were lovely the best self catering apartments around, very clean and they even had a washing machine in them.
i must admit the swimming pool is rather small and entertainment is quite non existant but your more than welcome in neighbouring hotels who offer evening entertainment.
As for the maid service i do not know whats happened their as they were cleaned twice a week for 7 night stays and four times fortnightly for 14 nights.
these apartments were only built in 2000 so i find it hard to believe they are filthy already i know they used to get a lot of guests who used to treat the apartments like their own house and go home leaving the rooms filthy (and i mean filthy i have seen them ) and leave a lot of damage to the rooms and pool area so although village park apartment is partly to blame for mess part of the blame lies on the british holiday tourists who i am sad to say but some are like pigs.
that is why they take a safety deposit now on arrival (who can blame them)
anyway if your due to travel hope you have a wonderful time and let us know what you think i am saddened to see what was once a wonderful apartment block go down hill so rapidly.
is their anyone who has a good word to say about them if so let me know and cheer me up

there are still some favourable reviews mainly on holidays uncovered but a couple of fairly recent ones on here sam.We head off on september the 19th so ill post a review when i get back.Hope we are some of the lucky ones1!!!!!

We've just returned from a weeks stay in the village park appartments and after reading all the nightmare reviews we were pleasently surprised with the cleanliness and facilities we encountered.I'll be posting a favourable review on this site for peeps to read as soon as i get the chance!

well i used to work in these appartments, and i have to say that ok, the SOME of the rooms were in a bad condition, however, the maids did clean everyday, not sure if it was every room every day, but you have to bear in mind that there are over 300 rooms, and that is alot of cleaning. There WAS entertainment, but this was downstairs, and not many people knew about this, they provided karaoke, bingo, disco upon many other things! Compared to some of the hotels/appartments in salou, trust me, they are very clean.
