Electronic visas are fine, the one for Australia is straightforward, only takes a few minutes, and it does'nt mean your passport is cluttered up with visas like Indias taking up complete pages. Of course another factor is that the likes of the Australian one is free, unlike the highway robbers at Sri Lanka. As it's all done electronicaly, I dont know how they justify the £32.

There is already a thread about this further up the page. Apparently it's not a Visa but an ETA, though on the Sri Lanka immigration site it's still called a visa. £32 does seem an awful lot to pay.
