A member called Mer is at the Viva Mallorca at the moment. She did post on the Viva Village thread as she thought she'd booked Viva Village but it was Viva Mallorca. I'm sure she will give you loads of advice once she gets back.
we went there last year, when it was brand new.
the apartments are absolutely sensational, without a doubt the best accommodation we ever stopped in. and the evening buffet. words cant do it justice
it was about 10% english last year
I hope Mer posts on return. I havent been able to find any recent reviews.
I'm at Viva Mallorca at the moment;this is my second wk. I thought I'd booked Holiday Village Viva and was a bit upset about the mistake. But as the days have gone by I'm appreciating how really lovely it is here. The accommodation is very clean & well looked after. I'd say the holidaymakers are predominately German & Dutch but since the start of the school hols more English and Scottish have arrived, not that nationality makes any difference at all.
We're s/c and found it a bit of a pain that there's no kettle or cereal bowls in the TINY kitchen but everything else is fine.
Please ask me anything and I'll try to log in when I can and reply.

Glad your having an OK time even if you are not quite where you thought you would be.
We have a couple of questions if you have the time-
Could you tell us how much breakfast is in the hotel?
What is the sunbed situation regarding people reserving and quantity?
Thats all for now
We've only eaten breakfast in our appartment so far but as s/c we could have eaten breakfast for @8E, dinner @13.95E or half board @19E. Don't know if half boarders prices are different.
With regards to the sunbeds there's been an interesting development here. When we first arrived we found that all the sunbeds around the top pool (that's the deepest pool) had gone by around 7.30. But there aren't very many beds around there to start with. The middle pool, we were able to get 4 beds together between 8 & 8.30 sometimes at 9am. But a few days ago, a sign went up saying that no one was to reserve beds and leave them unsat on until 9am otherwise their towels would be removed. And they really did do it. So on that day there were plenty to choose from. That was yesterday, so time will tell how long it lasts.

Interesting thing about the sun beds-what happens now- does everyone stand around and make a mad dash at 9am???
It really annoys us when people reserve beds at some ungodly hour(you are on holiday after all) and then do not show up untill past lunch when others who want to lounge around the pool for the morning are left scrabbling about.
Hope the system proves to work and is hassle free from now on.
Heres to you having a lie in and a sunbed to doze on
I can't believe how time has whizzed by; it's more than 2 weeks since we returned from Viva Mallorca and I've only just found time to write a review.
I've just posted it, photos to follow.
Hope it helps.
