Thanks for the info, off to Ouranoupolis on Sunday, pleased to hear the water is at a pleasant temperature. In the past have always gone in August and the water has been very warm, I was wondering how it would be now.

Little update on the currrent situation staying very hot perhaps tomorrow being the hottest day (43+c) then gradual cooling towards the weekend down to a comfortable 30 - 35c... the heat may perhaps build once again next week according to my contact in halkidiki

Got back from Santorini 2 days ago. Yes, I can confirm that it was very, very hot indeed. Our first week (flew out on the 20th June), we recorded temp of 50+ degrees! Second week got a bit cooler (mid to high 30's), but still very warm. As others have said, if you are going to Greece soon, and the heat returns (I'm sure it will), take care, and take in plenty of liquid...NOT beer!

WOW! I'm off the Kefalonia 2 weeks tomorrow - sounds like I'll be spending a lot o time in the shade.
