We're thinking of booking for a group to go on holiday to Cap Salou (Hotel Cala Font looks nice) for early June, probably around 1st week of June.

However I'm wondering about the weather, is it very wet at this time of year?

I heard someone say they just came back and it was raining practically all their holiday, however I didn't catch if it was Costa Blanca or Brava which I believe is quite near Dorada.

Just wondering how the weather is around then, I remember going early August to here and the weather was lovely, although think there was a thunderstorm.

I have looked on Wunderground and noticed some rain days expected around these times and in earlier years too.

Hi all, my ex hubby is taking my 12 yr old daughter to salou for 2 weeks in september, im worried sick she is going to get sun stroke/sunburn... shes the type of girl who will be up with the larks and head off to the pool, he is the type of guy who thinks its not that hot so she wont need sun screens etc.... how hot is it likely to be in september? im already having sleepless nights worrying about this! :(

In September the temperature is usually between 72 and 77, very nice with a nice sea breeze.

I would encourage your daughter to get used to applying her own sun tan lotion at factor 40 during our summer so she's used to it while she's in Spain.
Why not buy her a trendy sun hat?

I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.

I haven't been to Salou before but I'm thinking on going May 2009. Will the weather be hot enough to sunbathe? Thanks

Myself and my husband are flying out to Salou for a cheap week at the Playa Park Hotel, it's been a tough year so a bit of R&R and some sun was just what we needed... imagine my joy when i started to look at the weather forecasts from last week and it turns out it will most likely rain the whole time we are there :whoops

Now I am stumped with what to pack. Any advice would be very appreciated. Will I need jeans? I normally wear cropped trousers in the evenings but am wondering if it will be too chilly at night as I do feel the cold... sorry to be so useless but I've never been away in bad weather, just lucky I guess. The current temperatures are looking to be around 23 degrees during the day and 16 at night.

Thank you x

Hi there, I just got back from Salou on Sunday and the weather did change slightly towards the end of the week - don't dispair completely as the days where it was cloudy and chilly in the mornings the sun did come out in the late afternoons and it was lovely. It rained one day for about half an hour and then cleared up again.

At night time the last couple of nights I wore a cardigan, I'd say cropped trousers would be ok, it is still warm-ish and our hotel entertainment moved inside in the evenings yours will probably be the same in which case short sleeves at night are fine!

Enjoy your holiday :)

I find this to be the most reliable forecast, I checked regularly while we were away and its pretty accurate, although the days it said 20% chance of rain it didnt even rain! :tup

You'll have a great time, there's so much to do in Salou you'll find something to do if you can't sunbathe!

We are really having very "bad weather" for what we are used too... for example last year we had arround 22-25º till end of october and this year we are having colder days now... maybe weather will improve but is not the best year...
