Weather not looking too good next week!!

Off to Cala D'Or on Monday - just looked at the weather channel forecast -not very good I'm afraid. Showers and thunderstorms through the week.

Not much you can do about it just have to make the best of it - perhaps it will change before then.

Sorry!! The weather channel forecast does have a habit of changing daily - lets just hope so. As you are out there before we are perhaps you could make sure the sun comes out and the rain stays away!!

Two friends of ours rang me from Port de Soller on Monday and said it was very hot, we should have been in Mallorca until the 13th but family problems have caused us to cancel.

Thanks Pippa , It was unfortunate but we are not short of planned holidays, we go to Tenerife the week before Xmas and back to the Port in February with the Costa Blanca lined up for April and September.

Have you been to Cala D'Or , we went but did'nt care for the resort we stayed at the Tamarix Hotel which was a delight. the right hotel in the wrong place.

Of all the Cala's we enjoyed Mondrago the best good for walking away from the maddening crowd.

We are staying in Cala Egos actually which is about 20 minutes stroll from Cala D'Or. We haven't visited that area before but the apartment swayed us! It has beautiful sea views, shares a pool with one other apartment (sleeps 2) and has direct access through the garden into the sea. Not cheap but as they say you get what you pay for.

We love strolling round marinas so will probably do that most evenings (weather permitting).

All I know about our location is that it is right on the beach between numbers 1 & 2 on the bottom left of THIS map

Your street runs from the roundabout near No7 down to the old fort (Es Forti)

Ignore any forecasts more than 5 days in the future as they are notoriously inaccurate. I'm not saying they will be wrong, but if they are right it will be more luck than real judgement. Weather is just too erratic to predict accurately that far ahead.

Try this.....A Spanish site and usually very accurate, well as accurate as you can be with the weather.

There is no mention of either rain or thunderstorms up to Martes (Tuesday)

You can chose the city/town (Ciudad) nearest to your resort by clicking on the Baleares : selecciona una ciudad
