We had a huge storm last Thursday ( not the whole island , just us in the north!) it marked the end of a mini heat wave. Now it is warm but with the odd passing cloud. As is normal in May you will need a cardi or fleece for evenings. It is always as well to pack a light weight kagool as the weather traditionally doesnt settle into full summer until the end of May/June, but even if you get a storm it doesnt last long!
The plus point of May is the flowers and everything being so green and lush, and the magic of the fireflies.

Having been a regular visitor to Corfu over many years I know the general weather situation at this time of the year, which is why I asked for specific information about the local forecasts now.

Three years ago we were treated to a whole week of rain and this was during the first week of June. It was nasty, heavy rain, no light drizzle! I was hoping that someone who watches the local forecasts can let me know what the outlook is for the next week.

I'll pack brollies as well as macs I think!

I gave you the NOW weather as requested,(today is as was yesterday, the odd passing clouds and warm, 26c at 10.30) but as others who are not such Corfu veterans will also read the thread, they need to know what the norm is too.
If you look at Castaway Travel there is a weather sticker which given you the current weather at all times and you can click on the sticker to get the forecast.

we're off early monday & it looks terrible 'til Saturday

Just got back from Kassiopi. Weather fine last weekend, but then lots of cloud and rain rest of week, with some sunny bits in between. Left a damp and cloudy Corfu last night. Hope it gets better for those going out.

We came back from San Stefanos NW yesterday, were there for a week, only bad day was Tuesday cloud then rain but dry evening. Sunbed or beach all week apart from that.
