i know this might be a stupid question to some but here goes, the uk has early severe weather warnings for snow during this week- can a flight be delayed due to this kind of weather?

Delays may occur following snow. Both from the general airfield conditions and the need to keep taxiways and runaways free from snow build-up, the waiting for de-icing of aircraft pre-departure, even down to crews not being able to get to the airport on time.
