I dont think anyone enjoys the Calima weather here, starting to cool off a bit, the dust has gone and its not so muggy, normal service will soon be resumed ;)

for the member Charles....a Calima is not comfortable. Its so hard to get your breathe. I had to buy an inhaler at the weekend as it was so humid and dusty. Not that I dont like it hot as thats why I go abroad but 44c with a sandstorm is not pleasant!
Its cooler today with a nice breeze on Amadores beach.
yes if you are coming out here you need at least a factor 15.

Thanks for the info Tonyarosey never been when its had a calima, but I work in hot and humid conditions with lots of dust too thats why I like to come to the canarias to relax in the sun, I will be sure to bring lots of factor 15 though thanks again. charles

Hi,
I'm due to arrive on 25th May. I've looked at the 10 day forecast and it's not looking too good on that date: wind and showers.
Have I chosen to come to GC in the rainy season and likely to have 2 weeks of miserable weather?
Cheers.

I'm going on Monday and the weather forecast seems to be for cloudy weather and some rain, I'm only going for a week so I'm hoping to see the sun as the weather is horrible here in Scotland just now :(

I've just found a better forecast so I'm happier now :) I'm going to stop looking at them now!

Cathy, we are leaving on the 07:40 from Gatwick - what about you?

Neil, you have helped put my mind at rest! The reports, as Cathy said, aren't looking great so I was starting to panic a bit!

Indeed, roll on Monday :sun2
