Hi Lucie1, yes, we are staying at the Nissi Beach Hotel. we have booked a junior suite. one of the parts of the wedding package is that you get a free room upgrade, but i didn't want to risk there being no rooms. i just got the brochure through the website http://www.nissi-beach.com there is a section to request brochures, and also has quite a good photo gallery for you to have a look at. they have a bit specific for the weddings so you can see where you would get married at. when are you going next year? we have our holidays booked form 1 - 15 august, hopefully getting married on the 9th. we booked our holiday and wedding through Thompsons, and they have so far been really helpful. i think you can have your wedding anywhere, but there will be a cost of about CY£250 to hold it if you aren't a resident. but i don't think that's too bad really. who have you booked your holiday through as they should be able to sort out the wedding too?

Just seen your last message I too am getting married next May in Paphos and am staying at the Rui Cypria Bay - only just booked though so bang goes my upgrade as you got in first !!
We are using the townhall and have no other plans in motion at all at the moment - loving the fact that they do it all there for you! Just feel that maybe I should be doing alittle more??

So wedding twin any info would be good, I'll look out for ou next year - we'll be the ones in white!

i have booked my holiday through thomas cook. i can book the wedding through them its just olympic seem more reasonable. but the main reason i can't book with thomas cook is that you can only marry in a wedding hotel if you are staying in that accomodation, where as olympic let you marry in a hotel for an extra fee. also, with plympic you can book your extras and pay for them here, with thomas cook you have to pay for it all in resort. we have booked our holiday going on 29th july and coming home on the 12th. so i am going to try and get the wedding for about the 6th or 7th august. i was going to try for the 10th which is my birthday, but as we are going home on the 12th there may not be enough time to get my photos back.

The locals will be going mad with a double wedding going on! heh heh.
The rui cypria bay has some good reviews! thank god, it has to be good for our wedding/honeymoon. I was quite nervous booking it but it is supposed to be very nice. What kind of room have you gone for in the rui???
Am very excited come this time next yr, probably very nervous!

one of my colleagues got married in Cyprus last year and he had his photos back the next day, but i'm not too sure i would like to chance it either!! i know its ages away but i can't wait! already been looking for a dress, although not having too much luck at the minute! did you send away for the brochure for Nissi Beach, or are you looking elsewhere now?

did send for a brochure from the nissi beach, but they emailed me to say that in high seasons they don't take non-residents. belive it or not i have already bought my dress i must be mad. but it was a bargain and i fell in love with it straight away. i just hope i don't put any weight on in the next year ha! ha!.

We too fly on 22nd May for two weeks! So may even see you on plane (how funny!), not sure when the actual wedding date is as only booked last Friday but we've requested either 30th or 31st May in the town hall, we should find out in the next week or so.

We booked with Thomas Cook, the girl there got married in Paphos last year so explained how it all works and she also used Thomas cook, so it was good to talk to someone who had been through the experience.

Hopefully the Rui Cypria Bay is as good as it sounds though looking on a map it is quite far down.

You're right the locals are going to love us!!

Do you know where you will have your reception? In the Rui Cypria? I'm not sure what to do about that and according to Thomas Cook the co-ordinator sorts this with you out there - scary leaving it that long??!!

Hi Sam,
we too fly out with thomas cook on the 22nd, to the rui so we prob will see each other. we will have the big boxes accomodating our dresses.
We have gone through cyprus dream weddings, and the reception is based at a beach style restaurant with bar. in Paphos.
They been really good.
Isnt it funny they we will be on the same flight etc.
anyway if you want to know any more detljust let me kow.
