Hello,
I am deciding where to get married in aruba and have a bit of a dilema. I like the Divi All Inclusive hotel, it is seclued, quiet, beautiful also theres access to the sister hotel where friends and family can stay. But i've read some bad reviews about the standard of accommadation - i don't mind basic, clean and confortable but i don't like manky!!! Option 2: Th Rui at Palm Beach - i know its going to be luxurious, has loads of amenities but i've also heard that is very, very busy even the beach and wondering if it lacks that personal aspect and romance which i think is essential for a wedding.
What do you think?
The rooms are basic, the bathrooms are small but they are clean. And that is all what matters to us.
You have all the facilities of both hotels to use during your stay and the low rise area is much quieter than the high rise area. Something to consider if you like the beach and don't want to be packed like sardines which is the case in the high rise area.
I would opt for the Divi if luxury is not top of your list. Ignore the very bad and very good reviews and read the ones in the middle.
Mark
Markj, me and the wife arrive at the tam on 4th june so please leave some balashi for me mate.
As Mark said you must take an average when reading the reviews,I walked to High rise one morning(My legs are still aching)iI had a look around the rui, and Palm beach!
To be honest it is of a much higher standard, but you pay the price,is it worth it?I dont think so.
The beach at the Rui is a little overcrowded, and not as personal as the Divi and The Tam.
I would stick to the low rise everytime,You will not be dissapointed with the divi or the Tam.
We are going to the Divi on 3rd June for my daughters wedding there. Will post a report when we return.
