have you searched on this forum under "marriage" as similar questions have been asked before, and received some good replies
as for "is Oct/Nov too hot/cold to get married?" - well, it will be warmer than the UK ! Risk of bad weather, but normally October is a very nice time to come here - sea is close to its warmest. Check http://www.maltaweather.com/archives.shtml
and you will see rainfall in Oct/Nov are amongst the highest months - also see av temperatures
Has anyone been married (or knows of anyone who has) in Malta? My neice has chosen to get married here August 2007, we've all had the invite but no one knows what to expect. Hope somebody out there can help.

*Edit. Thanks Mark. Topics merged. Pippy*
I got married in Mellieha Bay, Malta in 2003 - it was excellent, i wouldnt of had it any other way - I have heard about weddings abroad sometimes feeling like a production line - in the obvous places - dominican republic etc but there was only one wedding a week in the hotel we were in. We held our ceremony in our hotel and it was beautiful, however I have spoken to someone who got married at the registery office there and apparantly it was horrendous.
Feel free to ask away, I'm very happy to help with any queries you may have x
then we will be planning the wedding for May 2007. We will visit the Registry and check it out and will be checking two of the cheaper hotels in Sliema to stay in as we want to be close to Valletta for the wedding, usually we stay north of the island. My maltese friend said the Registry is a bit cold, no atmosphere, but surely it is what you make it?
Unfortunatley it wasnt a friend, just someone I got talking to so I cant ask them further about it. I dont think it was as much the actual office, more to do with organisation of the whole thing, she said just one thing went wrong after another but her main gripe was having to walk through the market to get to the office - he dress got ruined!! (not to mention how silly she felt) I'm sure if you go and have a look you'll be able to decide for yourself - just make sure you dont pick market day! Good luck x
Just got visions of the lady tripping through maltese market stall holders....made me giggle. We go in 3 weeks so will check it out thoroughly. Hoping to stay close to Valletta next year and get a Karrozin to the registry....well one can dream....Thanks for your input
good luck let us know how you get on!
