Barbados is a relative safe island. Just take care of yourself as you would in England. Don't display your relative wealth - keep expensive jewellery at home.

We have been to Barbados close to 15 times now and never felt threatened and we usually walk everywhere we can.

Please don't be put off by what others say. The people of Barbados are one of the nicest you can meet anywhere.

Just got back this morning from the Almond Beach Village.
Can confirm Barbados is lovely, very safe and the people are fab.
Will write a review when I come round !!

Have to agree Alison with what everyone else says - we are about to go on our eighth visit, love the place and have never, ever, felt threatened, Bajan people are warm and friendly. Just use common sense as you would at home, as Mark says no flash jewellery etc and you will be fine
