We were in Sri Lanka for 2 weeks in late June/early July 2004. We only had a about 20 mins of monsoon style rain on the last day of our holiday, plus a small amount of drizzle one morning whilst we were staying in Kandy. It was quite cloudy when we were near Colombo but the sun way very strong and I got badly burnt on the first day. It was also quite humid on the coast - much nicer in the hill country.
