We are very familiar with the island of Majorca, and have stayed in a lot of resorts over the years.
However this year we are staying in the Don Pedro apartments Cala Millor.
Now we dont know this area at all.
Can I ask what sort of resort it is, is there a wide selection of restaurants (seafood, Spanish etc as well as the usual).
What is the beach like?
Are there any nice walks?
Resort reports can be found on the following link
We met a guy who complained that there were only 9 pubs. What he meant was there were only 9 English pubs, not that I counted them, but there were loads of bars and hotels which catered more for the Germans. We went to a few of them and actually preferred them to the pie, chips and roast beef places.
We did go to the Rose and Crown every night at 9 because they had a quiz, but wouldn't have bothered otherwise.
We wouldn't have any hesitation in going back to Cala Millor.

The beach is fab in Cala Millor. Lots of Germans go to this resort but they seem to be all inclusive these days. We like it because it appeals to everyone all nationalities just get along fine. Spanish English and German bars side by side and lots of shops!!! If I remember correctly the Don Pedro is set back from the main drag, BUT only 2 mins across the road, I only wish I was going, hope you enjoy please let us know .CBG
We have been to cala bona/millor for the past 4 years and love these resorts there not as busy as some resorts on majorca there just right when you have a family or you just want a quiet holiday.Last year we stayed in the Floriana Resort for 11 days and thought we would go to cala millor shops for a change well me and my daughter was on out own while my parents had a rest i one off the great resturants, well while me and my daughter whos 9 was looking at some calenders i felt some thing pull on my bag when i looked i could see a mans hand going in side my bag i couldnt believe it i pulled my bag away and shouted what the f*** you doing he had the cheek to say sorry and walked off bloody cheek i did then watch him and it seemed like he was eyeing some one else up,i was a bit shaken i just wanted to get out off that area. This isnt the ist time thou as a few days later we went to sa coma for the morning more shopping ha ha well we was waiting for the bus to pick us up at cala bona and there was lots off elderly people there,me and my mum noticed 3 very strange middle aged people hanging around all the elder people the coach finally turned up and everyone tryed to get to the front door off the coach quick well i noticed one off these weirdos hanging around trying to put his hand down my dads pocket but he wasent silly as he blocked the view what he was doing with a carrier bag ha ha i noticed thou as i had my eyes on him straight away and all the time, when i saw him trying to pick pocket my own dad i pushed hes hand away he glared at me ant said something in spainish and walked away me and my family got on the bus the same side everyone was getting on and noticed one off the other weirdos who was waiting for the bus disappear as the bus pulled away he was running away so that obiously he picked pocketed some ones elses bag and pocket too and done a runner. So where ever you go be careful i never used to be as much all the times ive been away abroad but now i am,im always on the ball now.
Im pleased to hear that Cala Millor is quieter than some of the other resorts, Im not keen on places like Magaluf or Santa Ponsa (not denigrating them in any way, just not for us!!).
And thanks for the link Biff, Im off to read it now!
Sounds just the ticket for us and yes, I will report back to say what I thought of it. We are going there for a week and then four days in Can Pastilla.
Thanks also for the warning re pickpockets, we saw similar in Can Pastilla two years ago...
We absolutely loved the resort, yes there were all Nationalities there, mostly German I would say, and they were all lovely!
The walk along the beach was georgous, a lovely promanade, and there was a good selection of shops, especially jewellers, although I would say if you want to buy any of the "good" pearl necklaces, the factories were much cheaper.
The Don Pedro was quite basic but then we knew that when we booked. We had a fab time and would DEFINATELY go back again, the only change I would make is that I would book a higher standard of accommodation facing the sea. But thats a very small complaint, as the apartments were only five minutes away!
Glad you had a good time Tootsie. Cala Millor is probably the only resort we would return to on Majorca.
