Hi any ideas?
Planning second trip to Gorgeous Goa.
Fancy the idea of going somewhere a bit special for a nice meal just to mark xmas day.
But....love the beach shacks...
What does everyone do?
Does it feel like xmas? Never been away before and I presume it just feels like any other day?
Haven't booked yet but found a great deal going on 15th December and coming back 30th December.
Thanks
This will be our 2nd time at Xmas and we both said never again as it gets really busy Xmas eve and day then again new yrs eve and day, Well it was for us But this yr we have decided that we may stay at the pool for Xmas day and go to East meets west in the evening for our xmas meal. We make it Xmas for ourselves as we get out our Xmas hats and i wear a Xmas cloak and earrings and take a Xmas bag out with us and give out sweets and chocs last yr it was little gifts but this yr just sticking to the sweets and chocs and everyone loved it they shout happy Xmas to us shook our hands it was really nice they waved and peeped (they do anyway) but it was aimed at us more LOL, I think the moor you put into it the more you get out of it i am taking some xmas decks to this yr for our balcony as we felt left out last time because they where all lit up apart from us
Hope this helps and go and enjoy We go 20th dec for two wks.

We were there last Christmas and had a fantastic time, in the main everyone heads for the beach on Christmas Eve and its a great atomsphere. Some of the shacks take bookings for dinner, others do a buffet style which you pre-book and others its pot luck whether you get a table my advice is have a word with your favourite shack before hand. Christmas Day is more low key we didnt pre-book anything and spent all day on the beach and had a dare I say it a carvery in Bernards on the CSM Road. A lot of the resturants have pre-booked turkey dinners available if thats what you want including Bernards. The only other advice I would give you is beware the dreaded taxi as prices as at home increase alarmingly on Christmas Eve and it takes ages to get anywhere due to the amount of traffic same at New Year. Hope you have a fantastic time wish we were going to be there to but i've got to wait until February!

Hey we may meet up
it's nice to go to midnight mass but on the whole doesn't feel like christmas to me, but thats why i go. it's over in a day, just how it should be!
Really looking forward to it again this year, it starts at 3pm and goes on way in to the evening, if anyone wants a really good xmas day PM me and i will give you Max and Jane's number and email address.
It is also very safe if you have children because it is upstair and has a gate on it so children cannot just wander off into the street, as they also have a little child they tend to think of these things.
