Lots of changes Dave, very many more 'proper' shops rather than the stalls on the side of the road. A big new supermarket 'Newtons' that stock most everything including soft pillows. Even more taxi drivers etc. I was last there in November and roads were being dug up all over hopefully this has all finished now.
Great restaurants, too numerous to mention, great beach. November I was disappointed, wasn't the Goa I loved, couple of months on I have mellowed and have a very strong hankering to go back, sigh!!.
Have a fab holiday

Hi Dave I would be more interested in what you think about Goa after 5 years. So please make plenty of notes and do a report when you come back to the UK.

i revisited baga after a spell of 4 years. i was gratified to find that very little had changed (apart im afraid for the prices)...in fact within seconds of my taxi pulling in at the top of baga beach i saw several people in very much the same places as i had left them. the kashmiri wood furniature sellers, the karnatika girl , the odd job man, the man who rented out the rooms id stayed in..and they all remembered me. this for me is part of what makes goa special..some things i dont want to change.
