A balcony that is not quite a balcony. Very narrow, like a ledge really. But usually with 2 opening doors. Basically it gives you a window opening to floor level. Hope that helps.
If this is a description given of a hotel room, you'll be very lucky if it's deep enough to fit a chair on; certainly not a lounger.
Its just like a door that you can open and nothing else, i think (just from memory as it was a long time ago when I was in France)

Description says terrace and french balcony, as it's a duplex apartment we should still be able to have loungers on the terrace.
