Can anyone who has stayed at the Marina Corfu in Cala D'or, tell me if the hotel has ramps for wheelchairs and are the room doors wide enough to get a chair through them.
Also are the shops far from the hotel, I understand it is a taxi ride from the marina Corfu to the town of Cala D'or, so is it suitable for pushing a wheelchair.

The hotel has ramps for the luggage trolleys that double for wheelchair access, i will make sure about this while there on Feb 9th and post it on the forum. You can get to the beach beside the hotel in a round about way via the front door the side road and then the beachside bar access road. As for pushing a wheelchair to Cala D'or good luck. We done this in May last year with my mother when it was quite cool but it still killed us, it took an hour with many hills all the way, the only flat part is the actual Marina which is worth seeing and i would advise you to go to here and then taxi back, any bar will call a taxi for you and they are all very helpful with disabled people and chairs. There are lots of other nice places to chair to so don't be put of its a nice place with the shops local to the hotel and in nearby Cala D'or, i will try to find out about the hotel if no one else knows . 28 SAC
Many thanks and I shall be grateful for you info after yor Feb visit.
I see you are well aware of some difficulties in pushing a wheelchair
around, can be a killer.

The place is closed at the moment so was not able to check inside but you can get to the beach, pool, outside bar and the sea all via ramps next to the hotel. Not too bad a walk to Cala Egos bars and resturants, slightly uphill but easy on way home after a drink, Taxi rank right outside. We had no problem getting a chair in any of the local places but not many have designated disabled toilets. Hope this helps, 28SAC.
Many thanks for the recent info it helps a great deal, at least I know
we can look forward to enjoying a relatively less physically demanding
holiday and I enjoy walking so the walk to Cala Egos will be no problem
and I like a beer or two so the downhill return will be appreciated.
Best wishes and thanks again
