Hello
We are going to Ayia Thekla in August. My teenage daughter is currently using a wheelchair, and I was wondering what restaurants and bars in the Aiya Thekla/Napa area are wheelchair friendly? Eg, accesible to ladies toilets and places with no steps etc.
Thanks
As a general rule disabled access all round Cyprus is very poor. There are a few, and I mean few, disabled toilets ( it is getting better!). On a more positive note, you will find all the resteraunts very helpful. The waiters will move chairs round so you can get to the toilets but the toilets can be a little difficult to get access too. My wife is in a wheelchair and manages ok, with a little help!
Good luck, John.
Good luck, John.
I would have to consult my pictures (which were saved on a computer crashed out by a virus !) But I know there was definately a disabled toilet in the "noufaro restaurant" in Pernera (which is about 5 mins drive from Protaras, which is about 15 mins from Ayia Napa)... but as mentioned many places have things like toilets downstairs...
