Has to be Icmeler, perhaps not the greatest beach, but definately the friendliest bars/restauraunts in Turkey and definately the cheapest resort to eat and drink in.

Any of the above or Marmaris, Turgetreis or Side.

For a diiferent type of holiday try a short break in Istanbul then on to Northern Cyprus.

me and my girlfriend are also 25 and would have to say olu deniz it has a great beach and lots of great restaurants and bars . you also have hisaronu just up the road for a big night out

Deffo Olu Deniz

As previously said, it's small enough to be intimate and beautiful but just a short dolmus ride to the very lively Hisonaru.

Some hotels are right on the beach and others just a short walk away. Then there's the extraordinary Blue Lagoon - I was amazed at the tiny hermit crabs - just like Pirates of the Caribbean....

we had a FAB time there last year and I went paragliding too, not bad for someone whose half a century old

We never like to go back to the same place twice so that's the only reason that we are not re-visiting. We are trying Gumbet this year and looking at Side for next year.

Where ever you go you will love it - we do.

Good beaches at Side. The one on the right of the sticky out bit (looking out to sea) is predominantly for the holidaymakers and has all the hotels on it while the one to the left has very little development on it and is favoured more by the Turkish people. The Turkish one is well worth the walk.

Plenty of ruins and history in Side plus all the shops, cafes and restaurants.

Not so many Brits in Side though, lots of Germans and Dutch and a little less English is spoken than in some other places. Not a problem to me as I'm learning Turkish and prefer to mingle with the locals anyway.

Another vote for Olu Deniz/Hisaronu here.

Well done with the paraglyding Jill, I missed out last time but am going tomorrow and promised myself I wont miss out again

The dolmus runs from Olu Deniz to Hisaronu and then on to Fethye. Any of those three are good although I've only stayed in Hisaronu. The dolmus grunts a bit coming up hill out of Olu but it always gets there in the end.

Our best ever jeep safari was from Hisaronu and we also did the overnight stay to see Ephusis and Pamukale.

has to be the mediterranean coast...alanya has the best beaches..about 15 kilometres..great night life..more of a mix of europeans and turks ..so less brash..than the other places which are predominantly british..

We went on a boat trip to Alanya from Side and came back on a coach. Alanya looked interesting although we only had just long enough to stuff our faces with some seriously choclatty gateaux and didn't get much of a chance to look round.

Has to be Icmeler for me and my family. Everything you could want from a resort and more for families young and old. Di. 8)

Thank you for your suggestions. I think I may look at going Olu deniz, that seems to be the most popular place. In photos it looks and sounds very nice.
