Where to go on hol.. help :)

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here, found via google

Here is my dilema.. I have booked 2 weeks off work at the beginning of sept and really want to go somewhere we've (me and bf) never been before. But also somewhere that we know we will enjoy, rather than being stuck somewhere for 2 weeks that we don't like.

I've been to Palma Nova (Mallorca) and had a really good time. Here are the types of things we are looking for:

Nice big beaches, good/plenty of shops (even if tourist), trips (boat, etc), water park, plenty of restaurants/bars.

Where would the best place be to go? Have been looking at Rhodes and Crete but up for all suggestions.

Can anyone help us?

depending where you are flying from, you may have a problem as there seems to be a shortage of flights this year..

for crete i would suggest stalis you got the beaches,star beach water park,and nearby places hersonissos and malia.we went to marni village in koutouloufari on hillside overlooking hersonissos which had superb restaurants on mountain road.
for a quieter algarve, go to albuferia old town, hotel solemar.
what about alcudia majorca white sand beach and waterparks and plenty to do.
rhodes town was quaint but quiet when we went in early october (and can be windy).

this is really helpful, thank you. have been looking at alcudia majorca and also puerto pollensa (sp?) have u been to either of these? have also been looking at ibiza. we've got a brochure, everyone looks good so hard to decide
