Have you seen this site which is devoted to Pelekas?

Looking at the map it looks a fair drive to Arilas..maybe 50 minutes or so? Pelekas to Corfu Town is about 12 km, but that is a major road crossing the island, which may be a whole different kettle of fish than driving up towards Arilas.
There are some lovely-looking beaches on that stretch of coast
