Hello i am looking to go to Cyprus for the first time, there are 2 adults and 3 children 16, 8 and 5. Where is the best place to go? We would like a nice beach and somewhere to go in the evening? We are looking at hotels or maybe a villa but do not want to be isolated.. just do not know where to begin.

i can wholeheartedy recommend protaras for the age groups of your family. its teeming with good bars ,restaurants,entertainment and beaches. the younger element head to aiya napa for the clubbing so you don't get the gangs of 18-30 type there. its mostly familys and couples so you would be fine there. if you're after culture than paphos is the place.
