Never been on an all inclusive before best was a half boaf to tunisia.
I would like the best holiday i can afford with about £500 each so an all inclusive for £1000
im wanting to know from people's experences where is good value for money
food all day / variety / sports / entertainment / and the occasional drink or 2 (Diving included would be a massive bonus)
Where seems good to go?
We would like some sun and a beach. but desiding is a bit hard as i dont want a horrible place to stay
There will be myself my girlfriend and our 1year old son.
Unfortunately there are a lot of rubbish AIs out there and you do get what you pay for. I would always pay a bit more for quality as you dont want to be eating rubbish for 2 weeks.
Have you read through the threads on this forum? Theres one called Good AIs and another about Bad AIs.
Good luck
When are you thinking of going, as summer months would be too hot for a one year old (and me for that matter!)
Don't think entertainment is too high on the agenda at most Egyptian hotels, so you may find the evenings quiet.
Have stayed all inclusive in Turkey - there was a lot more entertainment going on in the hotels, if that is what you are looking for.
Good luck.
yes we would idealy like to go the first week or two weeks in MAY this year.
i think the carribean would burn my baby son too much so looking more towards europe but i dont want to end up somewhere thats a dive an hate my holiday.
ill go check the thread you mentioned out thanks.
the only possible downside would be evening entertainment. whilst you would find most hotels will have it ,it is usually fairly low key.however most hotels run a courtesy bus into naarm if you want a bit more action.
another possibility for may would be turkey, weather just right at that time and plenty of good A/Is to choose from at a keen price . Personnally i would recommend olu deniz . diving is good from this area ( my hubby and 2 sons all dive) and there are 3 good A/Is right in the centre of olu (belcekiz beach (portland do the best price) , club sun city, olu deniz resort hotel. or maybe take a look at the aegean dream resort in turguturis near bodrum. ( portland again i think for a good price) there are a few from this site going there this year after reading all the good reviews . i believe there are some buried ruins in this area for the diving
lyn
whatever takes your fancy tho do check out the hotel reviews on this site
me family and i are going to the san miguel hotel in ibiza and the reviews look really positive.and there there is pages of discussion about it on here.it seems that families go back year after year.and only 2 hours on a plane.

all of the above are with thomsons and are for 2 weeks
Have you chosen somewhere yet?
You could get some really good last minute deals for May. We have gone to Egypt the last two years as my daughter loves waterslides and thehotels we chose had good ones. We went last year in July, and the year before the end of May nd my son was not quite one on our first visit. We absolutley loved both places and found them really good and didn't find the weather too hot. I covered my son up with a UV swimsuit and hat and high factor suntan lotion and he didn't burn once (Use Pizz Buin once a day). He ate absolutley everything and never had an upset tum at all. When we first went we had a kettle in our room which I used to boil the bottled water for his milk. We also went to Tenerife over Easter the last tewo years but the pools were on the cold side so not as good for him as Egypt.
We have also taken my daughter (she is 6 now) to Mexico when she was 7 months old and also Dominican Republic when she was two and again had no problems with the lengthy flight or weather.
Anyway I hope you find somewhere soon.
Marriot Hotel
Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort Sharm El Sheikh
it seems to have its only man made beach and its OWN coral reef
oh and the idea of AI room service really does sound farr too fancy
plus i can not find a bad review of this place from the AI point of view, the bed and breakfast just complain that the foods a bit expensive
just gotta find the best deal for this place now though.
oh and may june july if fine now really
thanks for everyones help
http://www.goingplaces.co.uk you will also find that http://www.portlanddirect.co.uk list it and they can be quite competative as well.
At the time I researched it was second on tripadviser but it has slipped a bit now. But still top ten.
I am going to this hotel in 4 weeks and I got my best price from At the time I researched it was second on tripadviser but it has slipped a bit now. But still top ten.
i carnt seem to find it on that going places link
It was giving a price of 1052 pounds though for 2 adults B&B in a superior room. I couldn't find a way to upgrade to AI on the site I'm afraid, perhaps you have to do that when you are there.
Alternatively you could go into a Going Places travel agent and get them to price it up for you, you might be able to strike a good deal with them. It's in the Panorama Brochure.
Good Luck, Doe
If you want a complete chill out holiday
I can reccommend the Hilton coral in Nuweiba Eygpt
Lovely beach, great food ,entertainmant a bit on the quiet side but good snorkelling and diving both on the house reef and reef just around the bay 5mins walk and a good long section of reef outside some of the other hotels nearby.
Its the only place me and the mrs will be returning to
