Definitely the Canaries if you mean Europe. All year round sunshine.
If you want to go a little further, say 5.5 to 6 hours flying time then Egypt would be a good bet. War, but just starting to cool down from the height of the summer humidity.

In my young free and single days, my friends and I always had our 2wk winter holiday in the Canaries.
In October the weather is still fabulous!

Have to agree, a holiday in the Canaries at that time of year almost guarantees nice weather.
NO NO NO! you want marmaris, the weather is gorgous in october, the people are lovely, and despite the ever rising prices, its still relatively cheap!
