Hi
I am new to this forum and would like to say hello to everybody.
I have travelled toTurkey many times before but have flown to Bodrum,Antalya and Izmir airports.
I am just in the process of booking a DIY holiday and have seen flights to Dalaman excellent times and a good price.
The question now is where to stay.
It will be myself, my husband and our 15yr old son who is travelling and we will be holidaying for 1 week.
We are contemplating All Inclusive and wondered if anybody could recommend a decent hotel which we could maybe book direct.
We also wondered how much it would cost for transfers
Thanks
Welcome to the forums, I am sure that someone will be along to give you lots of advice pretty soon.
Well I have booked the flights now so could do with some advice re:accommodation

You might find it more difficult to book hotels direct for Dalaman as it's not one of the resorts that the Tour operators use this may also be applicable to your Transfer also.

there are some fab all incs in olu deniz, belcekiz beach, olu deniz resort, sun city and the fab lykia world, which is full board + but is a kids paradise with a water park, 19 swimming pools, great kids club etc, food is wonderful too, most of the time it costs more to book direct so have a look at some of these website, ive just booked lykia world with monarch and it was the cheapest i found and olu deniz resort with alpharooms .i went through topcashback and will get cashback too.

this is a medium resort with a lovely lagoon area
if you want more of a traditional turkish resort with a fab beach akyaka is lovely, but theres not all incs there, but very scenic
i also stayed here and this is also lovely http://www.letooniaresorts.com/site/fethiye/fethiye_home_english.htm
booking taxis direct is easy too, olu deniz is only about 38 miles from dalaman

if i can help any more let me know
It looks like you have stayed in some very nice places.
We have found a smaliish resort called Sarigerme and think we may choose to stay there and the hotel that we have found which looks very nice is called Hotel Joy Pegasos Tropical.
The only problem is we can't seem to find how to book it online.
Any help would be appreciated on booking this accommodationor if anybody can recommend anywhere else in Sarigerme please let us know
please be careful booking this make sure its not connected with the fc pegasos and tropical as there has been lots of complaints, mainly re sickness and tummy upsets, and its been built on a swamp so tons of mozzies. not a lot there i would certainly never visit or recommend it, but not sure if this a different hotel. good luck
The Pegasus Tropical hotel sounds like part of the Holiday Village who had a lot of problems last summer with lots of guests having stomach upsets.
There are much nicer resorts in the Dalaman area than Saigerme.
Double check before you book.
We are now looking at Letoonia Club in Fethiye as there is still availability.
Do you know if there would be enough privacy in one of the bungalows for myself and my husband and a our 15yr old son. And also wondered what the approx transfer time would be in a taxi
Thanks
we stayed in the hotel so didnt go inside the bungalows as some have a lot of steps and ellie was only 6 at the time. dalaman airport is only about 30 miles away, so im sure it would only take 40 mins. we really enjoyed our stay there, gorgeous scenery, food was good, 24 hr all inc with some international brands, let me know what you decide to do, please read reviews first
