Those are the cheaper ones which look like lift doors. They are easily broken to. Mine are the muy tipico ones like your photo! have you seen them in Ronda and around sevilla? many are full length and in the old days it was the only way the girls of the house could do their courting...the Boyfriend was stood outside and they held hands through the window.

We are :offtop ...again :D

Malaysia. There are countless reasons why living in Malaysia makes sense. Low cost of living, excellent weather, lots of nature, superb food, lovely beaches, awesome outdoor opportunities....

I mean, ideally I'd buy in Singapore, but property here has gone through the, ahum, roof, so that's a no-go. Plus as a retirement place, Singapore would probably be too busy and too expensive.

But Malaysia is an excellent choice, especially since the government introduced the Malaysia as my second home program, MM2H (read: lots of financial incentives).

In fact, I'd venture to say that spending a year in Malaysia won't set you back as much as spending a year in Europe, including countries like Turkey, Albania etc. Yet, medical care in Malaysia, in the cities that is, is at least on a par with Europe and I reckon a few notches better than in Turkey, Albania etc.

As they say: Malaysia Boleh :)

I would buy somewhere that has flights from the UK all year round.
My friend bought a studio in Bulgaria and only visits between June and September. The rest of the year it is stood empty.
She could still have her money in the bank and rent somewhere for the few times she visits.
I tried to persuade my husband to buy in Side 5 years ago as there are flights to Antalya all year and the properties were being built next to a new golf course so it would rent out year round.
He wouldnt agree and said there is no place like home and spent the money on a new caravan in the Yorkshire Dales.
I only wish I could have persuaded him to buy a small property in Sandbanks,Poole 30years ago. :tup
