Me and my wife are looking to go to Cyprus this year for 2 weeks all inclusive. We've never been to Cyprus before, the last 5 years we've been to Turkey and we fancy a change. The only one we've looked at so far is The Dome Beach hotel near Nissi bay. We've read some good reviewss on this place, just wondered which other AI's you recommend before we book this one.
Thanks in Advance
The hotel is actually on Macronnisos Beach....literally on the beach and in my opinion it's one of the best beaches on the east of the island. Nissi Beach is approx 3/4 mile away towards Ayia Napa. You very close to the Waterpark at the Dome and a few bars and shops can be reached at the top of the hotel road on Nissi Avenue.
You couldn't/wouldn't want to walk into Napa centre as it's a good taxi ride away which will cost approx 10 EU.
The hotel has a private portion of beach with it's own free sunbeds and a lovely infinity pool, gym and hotel shop. A good choice but not sure how it's faired since the takeover......I do know all the Cypriot staff were replaced by eastern europeans by Tsokkos as there was a large demonstration by them one day whilst we were on Mac beach one day
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Get out and about and sample the local cuisine. Being tied to one place for all meals is unthikable.

We like the convenience of AI, but we do go out and about a for a few meals over the fortnight usually.
I think that because the pound is so weak at the moment all who have booked and paid for AI will be very relieved.I certainly am.T.
We have been to the Louis Phaethon Beach Club for three years and are off again in February. We love it there, but it all depends when you are going and what you like doing. It is out of the way, but the buses and taxis are very good. If you want any info about this hotel or the trips that are on offer, please ask.
Hi Shaz4, I posted a query about Ledra Beach hotel which came highly recommended, but on looking through the baby-friendly stuff on offer at Louis Phaethon like sterilisers etc, that looks good too. I have read that the beach isn't up to much though, what do you think? We have a baby who will be 7 months and a 2 year old, so a beach is a must (safer to play on sand than near pool!) Have you any experience of the things on offer for babies and children there?
Sorry my son was 16 when we first went. The beach isn't brilliant. Sorry not much help.
You can make a cold water steriliser by cutting the top off a large empty water container, when we first took our son abroad (7 months) we took a large tupperware box in our case, filled it with clothes and used that but somebody ,somewhere suggested the water bottle. There are kettles in the rooms at the Ledra, there is apparently a coarse sand beach too.I haven't been yet but we are booked to go in August.
