Hi
My friend and I are already starting to plan for our annual "girlie" holiday for next year.
Hubby goes for a week golfing - so the week after they get back we go away - leaving them to fend for themselves!!
Its going to be either September or October and high on our list of choices is Benidorm.
We will be going DIY - flights are no problem and booking an apartment should be easy too. The only problem we are having is what area of Benidorm to choose. All the details we have seen give the areas - Levante, Poniente, Old Town & Rincon de Loix. Can someone please give me some information about the areas.
We are in our 40's so we are not looking for discos. We like to sunbathe during the day but at night we like to go out for a nice meal and then like to have a trawl around the bars. We like bars with a bit of live entertainment (not karaoke!!) and a bit of atmosphere - we went to Mallorca last year and although the bars were nice it was too quiet. We like to be within walking distance of all the action and dont want to be too dependant on taxis.
Any suggestions on locations would be great and if anyone knows of any decent 2 bedroomed apartments to rent we would be really grateful.
I know you will be able to help as you all seem to be experts on Bendiorm.
Look forward to reading your suggestions.
Carmel
Hi Carmel, Definately Levante is where you want to be. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the beach late September, booked our apartment and transfers with Benidorm Direct. Excellent service, lovely apartment five minute walk in the evening to all the clubs and entertainment.
hi levante is great poniente would be to queit loads of bars good entertainment bars around the levante area morgans bar is good as some good shows as well as the stardust there are to many to mention have a great time we love benidorm
If you look at a map (or one of the aerial photo sites like Google earth) then you'll see that the town is divided behind two large beaches. The Levante beach is the right hand one as you look at the map. You want to be somewhere around the middle to right hand side of that beach, to the right of Europa Ave. That puts you close to all the night life and still close enough for a stroll into the old town. The old town is in the centre, a headland between the two big beaches. Don't stay at the Poniente beach end of town, however cheap it seems, any money you save will be spent on taxis getting to where you should be! Second choice would be to stay at the Rincon de Loix end (the far right on the map), which is developing quite fast, but you'll do a lot of walking and there are some steep hills up there.
