Welcome to Holidaytruths.
Marmaris is in Asia.
If you are asking in connection with travel insurance - most policies cover all Mediterranean countries as Europe.
But for duty free allowances, I am afraid it is 1L spirits and 200 cigs only.
Please come back if you need any other info and I am sure someone will find the answer for you.

i thought marmaris was in europe ,when i went to istanbul half was in europe and across the river was asia ,correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure marmaris is in europe
Geographically, the majority of Turkey is in Asia. However, most holiday and insurance companies treat it as Europe. Istanbul is the only city in the world to span two continents - and it's fabulous!!
You are right Istanbul is mostly in Europe. The Bosporus (from the Sea of Marmara to the Black Sea) divides Turkey between 2 continents and I believe only about 10% of it (north west of the Bosporus) is in Europe. As Marmaris is on the Anatolian peninsula (south west of the Bosporus) it is in Asia.
Location: southeastern Europe and southwestern Asia (that portion of Turkey west of the Bosporus is geographically part of Europe), bordering the Black Sea, between Bulgaria and Georgia, and bordering the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, between Greece and Syria
