We have been on most Thomsons cruises and enjoyed them all - however my sister and husband want to join us on one next June and they haven't cruised before so have left it to us to decide where to go.
I have narrowed it down to either Treasures of the Med on the Dream, which is Palma, Palermo, Naples, Rome, Ajaccio, Mahon and Palma or on the Adriatic Explorer (Corfu, Koper, Venice, Split, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu) on the Spirit.
Which one would they enjoy most as first timers, taking into account scenery, trips, variety of destinations and ease of getting from each port do you think?
I want to book it this weekend to take advantage of the all inclusive package.
Personally I am happy with either of those choices but my sister has a thing about seeing Venice and good as the Adriatic Explorer is, I worry that the rest of the ports that week are a bit too similar?
Alternatively do you think the Thomson Dream week choice is a bit too frenetic?
It seems to me that she would be "half way there" to enjoying the cruise if Venice were included. She will, like the rest of us, get the bug and can do Rome & Naples etc. on her next one!
My opinion only
