Well
I have another thread about where to go in 2009 and have decided the South West of England is the place to go.
Has anyone got any thoughts on any of the following:
St Minver
White Acre
Ruda
All these have lodges/Chalets and they would be the type of accomodation we would stay in (see earlier post for this reason)
Thanks
Butch
St Minver (been twice, last went around 4 years ago): The lodges had not been built when we were there. Located in wooded area in the village of St Minver, fairly quiet when we were there. Have to drive to beaches...nearest ones as I recall were Rock, Daymer Bay and Polzeath...all were really nice places to visit. There's a small indoor swimming pool on site although this may have been improved upon since I last went. Other than the park itself there's not much around the immediate area and you'd have to drive out for most things. That said, it's not too far from Newquay, Padstow, and other north coast resorts. Would I go back again? YES!
Ruda (been here twice too, last visit was last summer in the rain!): Much more going on here than St Minver. Lodges looked beautiful and right by beach and dunes...really well laid out and very short walk onto beach. The site has good swimming pool although this can get very busy at times. Good restaurant/take away and good entertainment too. Several kids play areas on site. Shop for refreshments etc by beach. It's a short walk into the village of Croyde which is very picturesque with a few pub/restaurants and lovely ice cream parlour. Would I go back? YES!
So to sum up they're both really nice parks, St Minver smaller than Ruda, but Ruda has better facilities in my opinion. I'd go back to either without hesitation.

Thanks for that Ruda does sound the better of the two

I've stayed at the Ruda holiday park and it was really good. Lots going on and Croyde was lovely.
