The 2 biggest resorts are Sunny Beach and Golden Sands. SB is a very flat resort but GS is quite hilly.Both resorts have an abundance of bars and restaurants.
SB only 30 mins from Burgas airport.
I think you could look at St. Vlas, which is about 3 miles outside of SB with a regular( and cheap ) bus service into SB and Nessebar ( a must visit ). St. Vlas is a lot quieter than SB, lovely marina.

St Vlas is a good choice, or if you are looking for at staying at one of the bigger hotels, Victoria Palace or Rui Helana at the end of Sunny Beach towards Vlas might be worth a look.
If you prefer a smaller complex, there are some decent ones in between SB and St Vlas, but they arent always in brochures.
