lively, full of bars - kavos...its very loud and ideal for young people, lots of night clubs, bars and places to eat. the beach isnt much, but the nightlife makes up for it. i would reccomend that you stay justoutside kavos, as it gets very loud at night.
shopping - take a trip to old corfu, great shops selling everything.

If you want somewhere lively, go to either Kavos or if your staying in the North of the Island, the place to go is Sidari, try the following in Sidari:-

Bolero Bar - excellent staff and great Dj'ing and the best cocktails too
Premier Bar - nice place to go to, music not as good as Bolero's.
Cactus Jacks
Caesars - Night club
Mint - Night club
