Hi when we were there last year the men all dressed in their long trousers (which they didn't really feel comfy in) only to find that a lot of the guests wore tailored shorts or three quarters to dinner. Needless to say us women got the blame for making them wear their "long trousers".
We all felt that the entertainment for the children (in the evening- can't speak for the daytime) was much better at the Tequila than the Palace with the animacion team being much more child friendly.
In our opinion (3 couples) the difference in the quality and atmosphere of the 2 hotels didn't warrant the big difference in the cost.
I'm sure you'll have a great time wherever you g0
Thanks everyone for all your replies. Still not entirely sure which one to pick but I'm clearer than I was at the beginning of the thread
We have just booked our first trip to Mexico. Two weeks in Riu Palace. Looks a great hotel, and there are lots of tips on here. No doubt I will be asking other questions over next few months.
