Simple question which may have been answered before, but I was wondering if anyone knows why Veronicas I & II are named so.
Cheers
Tim
I wonder if anyone really knows how this area got the name? Perhaps a lady landowner who was called Veronica?
Given that women called Veronica are named after the Veronica shrub (as are Myrtles and Rosemarys named after shrubs!) perhaps the area is named because Veronicas used to grow there? Veronicas - the shrub that is - are hardy evergreens that thrive in hot, sunny conditions and don't mind dry conditions so are ideally suited to somewhere like southern Tenerife.
ahhhhhhh SMa may have something here..... maybe there is a direct link here with shrubs and "herbs" lol
