Firstly I have to say I have been to Benidorm for a holiday but there is so much more to the Costa than this one town.
I am going inland in a couple of weeks, I go several times a year and try to go at least one week each season.. peace and quiet, the fresh air. walking in to the local village at 11pm to sit and eat ice cream with the Spaniards in the village square. I walk up the dirt track beside the villa and pick an orange from the tree.. the farmer gives me a wave. At this time of the year walking through the orange groves with the trees full of blossom is heaven on earth,, the perfume is heady.
I don't know if I prefer this type of holiday because I live in a very busy noisy city and need to recharge my batteries by doing nothing that involves hoards of people.
