Travelling to Ibiza for the 4th year in a row on the 30th of June to the Sirenis Seaview Country Club, and was wondering if anyone knew of any wifi access areas nearby (or San Antonio/Ibiza town etc).
I'd prefer to use free ones, but happy to pay access fees, as GPRS roaming charges are insane (assuming you can get a GPRS connection)
I'll be taking the GPS unit with me, and will note any access points I find, and will happily post the results if it's permitted
I mainly want the access to send some video back home, and occasionally check & reset the home CCTV system (before anyone asks why on earth I would want to use the internet on my holiday )
I haven't come across many official WIFI hotspots on the island. However there are plenty of unsecured WIFI networks around built up areas that you can piggyback onto. Cafe Sidney in the marina at Santa Eulalia offers free WIFI to their customers, the waitress will give you the ID and Password. They have a branch in Marina Botafich in Ibiza too. Also most internet cafes will let you plug your laptop into their network via cable.
Thanks for the reply, I'll be using an HTC Wizard (vario/xda mini s) phone, so it will be wifi/3g only
