wine on board

Hi

I bought some Madeira wine when we did the Canaries cruise. I took it back onboard, it wasn't to drink ourselves, as we go for the AI. I don't think you will have a problem though, spirits are on sale in the shop on the boat, but I can't remember if they sell wine as well. Drinks are reasonably priced though in the dining room & bars, there is a price list posted somewhere on this forum.

I have heard of people taking wine boxes on in their luggage.

All I can suggest is that you try and take a bottle onboard and see if the confiscate it. Personally I doubt they would, but I really don't know about Thomsons. If they did you would get it back on departure.

When we were on the Sea Princess a couple of years ago, an American couple we got friendly with were both surprised and delighted to find that they could buy a few bottles of wine in port and take it onboard. They chose to do that and pay corkage to drink it in the restaurant. They had been so used to having alcohol confiscated.
