Just like to warn others who might be thinking of making a booking at this hotel. Back in October last year we made an advance booking for this August for 2 double rooms for 1 night's accommodation and 15 days parking as we we're flying from Bristol International the following day. The booking was accepted along with £40 deposit, which I had a receipt for. On contacting them at the start of this week I was told that a member of staff had made a mistake in accepting our booking as they were fully booked with a wedding party and that they couldn't honour our reservation. Needless to say I wasn't very happy with the prospect of seeking alternative accommodation (especially, as we'd originally had a very good deal and everywhere else is almost twice as expensive). I was very polite in my reply to them asking for my deposit back (as they hadn't mentioned anything about my deposit) and asked them if they would be in a position to offer us £20 on top of our deposit as a token gesture, that would go someway to helping us with the cost of seeking alternative accommodation. The reply I got was a one liner "the cheques in the post". Surprise, surprise, only the amount of the deposit and not a penny extra. Don't call this very good customer service. I did ask them that since they'd confirmed my booking and accepted the deposit, didn't they have to honour the booking and they said the wedding party had paid a deposit before us and it was first come, first serve. You live and learn!!
