Pippy - im not sure - i think it might be looking at the map that virgin have supplied on their net. Thank you so much! do you know of anyone that has stayed there???? looks okay to me - basic but im not fussed about that. Last time we went we stayed at Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista which was also basic but we had a fantastic time!
The best pizzas are next to the motel near the corner, if the gas station is still there it is behind that. Buy your milk, pop, water etc from the gas station, fairly reasonable. Bennigans restaurant was on the corner and a chinese, but over the months they may have changed somewhat. The I-ride will take you all the way wherever you wish to go. From the south end, it will mostly be empty so hopefully you will get a seat.
The motel is owned by several companys, the wynfield inn and travelodge to name two of them. The travelodge side is the newer rooms when it was renovated a couple of years ago. Unfortunately Virgin seem to have the grottiest rooms, i hope since a lot of people complained, they have sorted it out. They were using one of the rooms when we stayed there as a games room
I am not a posh person, but i do have standards, the rooms were very tiny, no wardrobe, just a hanger, the interlocking door was a nightmare, it opened into the next guests room, we had to shove a chair underneath it to stop it from coming open. It was fusty, and the brown mouldy carpet was halfway up the wall past the skirting board. We didnt know what to expect from a 2* plus hotel, and now i know. I did do a couple of write ups on HT reviews, whether they are still there i am not sure. We went back to Orlando the next year to the sheraton world, it was across from the wynfield inn, i went around it, it hadnt changed much, except the owners, which i have already mentioned about.
I know it was a few years ago i went, i hope it has changed for the better, have you read up to date reports on HT and trip adviser for example? I personally wouldnt stay there again, unless it was a lot cleaner and security was tighter, we had to hide money in the lining of the curtains as got broken into, no safe at the time we went.
On the plus side though, the area is great, and seaworld is amazing, and its great for pizzas and lovely and quiet.

Sorry I don't but I'll have it added to reviewsmdaly1 wrote:Thank you so much! do you know of anyone that has stayed there?

Here is the same hotel, when i and others wrote our reviews the motel was called the village premier, it got a bad name then changed again to the wynfield, then again to the travelodge, now back again to the wynfield inn convention. They think by changing the name people will not realise

This is the reviews for the now motel Wynfield.

when we went before we stayed at LBV comfort inn - that was basic but was clean and we found it okay for the two weeks. to be honest we get up and out and come back for a dip in the pool later.
always like to find cheap places to eat - preferably where i can get some veggies or salad into the kids before they tuck into the puddings lol
sounds handy being so close to sea world and aquatica - we are going this time mostly for the water parks - planning on having a few days at aquatica and want to see shamu again. was also thinking of doing discovery cove this time - have you done it???? is it worth the money????
Thanks Michelle
It takes about half an hour to 40 mins to get from the mall to your hotel, longer in prime time, but whats great about it is you can hop off near wet and wild, cross the road, walk down a hill and you can enter universal and IOA. It takes a twenty mins stroll from wet and wild.
For ponderosa and sizzlers, that is between 10-15 mins on trolley, on the trolley map it usually tells you what is at that stop. I remember ponderosa being further up, around the middle of I/D. Unless it has moved you can walk to Mcdonalds about 10 mins walk from the pizza place i told you about, they did some lovely sweets/puds. A little further up on the right side of the trolley nearly opposite Mcdonalds was a burger king, but didnt rate that at the time we went there, we didnt get any chips
Seaworld we went into at night, every night, the animal show and Kraken i loved going on. Didnt swim with dolphins at DC but my friends did and it was well worth the money. They didnt buy the dvd as it had all families on it, and about 2 mins of them. Aquatica has got good reviews, i will certainly do that when i go back.
Half way up I-drive where the shops are eg, gap etc is a massive cinema up the stairs, we went there every night to watch movies that hadnt been realeased in the UK, there is also a bar there as well. You can walk it from your motel, it will takes approx 30 mins. As you are going up i-drive it will be on your right.
To get to all attractions and shops, catch the trolley across the road near the sheraton world hotel car park, for some of the malls which are pretty good, catch the trolley from outside your hotel, this will be going in a different direction, north and south. This is what we did, of course things can change, so please check. Every time we go, somethings new
The area is fabulous, you can walk to seaworld in 10 mins, we walked through the back of the sheraton world hotel we got there quicker. Thats where we stayed the next year, lovely it was too. From seaworld car park you can catch the bus/coach to Bushe gardens, ring them up and they will tell you when to pick coach up with a ticket. Dont be late in getting back to coach, they go without you!!
Anything else i can help with, just shout

Last time we went to the premium outlet mall at lake buena vista cos that was just across the highway from us - had to get a cab but it was only a few dollars - it was so cheap!!!! timberland, gap oh my god i had a field day lol. my hubby hates shopping but we went 3 times at his request lol. he is still wearing levi jeans that we bought last year which worked out about £8 a pair!
last time we didnt get to try ponderosa because there wasnt one near us. we tried the sizzlers and that was great. if you think of any others that are worth a try give us a shout.
are you going next year too?????
anyway prattled on long enough - thank you so much!
I will be going back to florida nearer seaworld, possibly the embassey suites. Seaworld was my favourite park and IOA. We never had a car, cabs were ok not to dear, and we always used the lynx coaches.
I really loved it there except the weather, rained every day in August, better weather in April
When buying water, go to the garage - you will proberly see small to medium size bottles on the shelve, bend down and get the 2 gallon water off the bottom shelf It is the same price!!!!! they hid it out of customers way. Also you used to be able to get refils of pop, great for seaworld, about a $ for a mega beaker full!
