The Bangkok Post had a bit about the new Xbox a couple of days ago. . . it's unlikely to be on sale here officially for a while. The reason being is that it is sold at a loss in the US, and probably Europe too. The cost of te componenets is far higher than the cost of the machine. Microsoft make the money from the sales of games. In a country like Thailand where no one buys legit games they'd be no profit to be made and so Microsoft are in no hurry to get it in the shops here.

You'd be more likely to pick one up for a good price in Singapore.

Thailand is good for generic IT products, but a bit pricey for brand name gadgets.
