Hi, just returned form playacar, we brought our tickets for Xcaret off the rep, and made our own way, it was 12 usd in taxi, and took about 15 mins.
If your rep tries to tell you to go after lunch... don't listen, just prepare yourself for a very long day and go in the morning!!The show is very good, and we had a good meal at the buffet.

Thanks for that. Anyone been to Xel HA?
We went to Xel-Ha as part of an organised tour but arranged in the resort rather than through our UK tour operator. I can't remember the price but we combined it with a trip to Tulum. Once we got to Xel-Ha and saw how fabulous it was we wished we'd done the two trips separately. It's worth spending a full day there.
We got a local taxi driver to take us to Xcaret. He stopped off on a couple of places of interest on the way and stayed with us in Xcaret. He carried our cameras when we went swimming and told us where the best seats were for the 2 shows. We bought the tickets at the gate.
We went to Xcaret when we stayed in Cancun; we booked our tickets from the Xcaret website, and they picked us up from our hotel. It is a fantastic place - my daughter & I loved the sea trek, $45 a head well spent!
Second Sally's comment on the show, it's a must.

Thanks all! It looks like we might have to do the two trips.
