Hello there, you didn`t state if your ticket goes all the way to Goa, if it does you`ll have ample time. The best way as we`ve done for the last ten years, is get a ticket from London to Bombay, and get a taxi to terminal 2 at the domestic airport, do not go to terminal 1(its much busier). While at terminal 2 from 12.30pm to 5.30pm theres about 6 or 7 flights to Goa. So when you arrive you can buy the cheapest ticket, last year Air India were doing a single for £29.
We flew Jet to Mumbai and Kingfisher on to Goa if you are with Jet on both legs you may even be quicker
as i believe they take your luggage straight through.
If you are buying spirits/cigs get them in Goa[shops]and pack well in your check in bags,we found the duty free
in Mumbai on our return to be very expensive eg Bailey,s was cheaper to buy in our home super market
have a great holiday
annx
Thanks Pinkie / Aarond. Have booked flights as detailed. Usually go flight only with F'choice, but have you seen their prices...normally get a cheapish late deal, but I think F'choice/Thomson have cut their flts and are raising their prices and selling out as well. I have a feeling once we have ' broken our duck' and fly via Mumbai this year, it may become our usual route into Goa. Looking more closely at this forum, I noticed there is a lot of info at the top of the page ' Internal flights Q & A. Thanks again and enjoy your holidays !!
