They thought the hotel itself was really nice and said the staff there were so friendly. They were with 3 kids, 12, 9 and 3 and all the kids really enjoyed themselves.
The only problem they had was with the food. They said there wasn't enough choice and their children were fussy with food anyway, so were living off burger and chips.
The manager had just flown back, as he lives in Switzerland, and he wasn't happy with all the complaints and was going to do something to rectify them, so hopefully by the time you get there the food will have improved a lot.
thanks for that at least i know in advance to pack some pot noodles

I've also booked to go in September this year, and am worried about the food etc having read the review on one site, however before I booked I spoke to a someone in the travel industry who had just come back from the Chich Khan (that morning) and they'd had a fantastic holiday. He also said the resort was very safe to walk around etc, so I wonder if the mention of drugs in that other review was just a one off? Hopefully it will all be OK. I'll post a review when we get back in early October.
There's now a review on holiday truths about this hotel which reads OK to me I've also booked to go in September this year, and am worried about the food etc having read the review on one site, however before I booked I spoke to a someone in the travel industry who had just come back from the Chich Khan (that morning) and they'd had a fantastic holiday. hi, i have just got quoted a great price for july 05 for chich khan. i am going to book in the morning i think. we love tunisia and have got 2 children ourselves.
just booked and can't wait..................................is any one else going on the 17th july?
I am going to Yasmine, Hammamet in 6 days for a week and a half. I would like to ask if it is ok for a woman (26) alone to take the two day excursion to Sahara? Also, are there any other excursions that are highly recommended?
Has there anyone stayed at the Majesty Golf Hotel in Hammamet? If so, how is it?
Many thanks in advance.

We did the Sahara Explorer Trip, Nabeul Market and Pirate Ship. The Sahara Trip takes you to various spots around the country like El Jem (Small Colouseum), Matmata (Cave Houses), Salt lake etc. You can only see the Sahara if you pay extra for a camel ride! My advice here is if you really really want to spend half a hour in certain locations, then the next 3 hours on a coach and a not so good night in a cheap hotel then this trip is for you. For me, in the 2 days we spent about 18 hours on the coach! I'm 6' 6", so it was a bit of a pain. If you go look at how much rubbish there is out in the countryside, there is plastic everywhere!
We went to Nabeul Market on a Friday, it's not a traditional market as advertised, but a tourist market, but prices are a lot more reasonable. Get there early because by Noon seven hundred coach parties turn up and it gets very cramped. We shared a taxi with another couple for 20 Dinars return, which was cheaper than booking with the rep and we could leave when we wanted (Trust me 2-3 hours is the most you want to spend there).
The priate ship was a good experience and they do a great job of getting people up to dance etc. The pirate ship cost us £12.50, but if you are in Yasmine Hammamet it may be cheaper as we had to travel from Hammamet.
If I can help anymore please let me know.
I would like to visit places like the dessert, El Jem and the troglodytes in Matmata. It is for this reason that I though taking the Sahara excursion I would eventually hit all of them. How much does this excursion cost?
Is there a cheaper and more convenient way to skip the excursion and do these trips on your own?
How long does it take to arrive to El Jem from Hammamet?
Also, how would you reccomend a visit to Sidi Bou Said?
Sorry for all these questions. Thank you so much!

There were plenty of people on the coach to talk to, so going on your own would not be a problem.
Many people have told us that a trip to Sidi is not a good idea. We were told that it is no longer the pretty tourist attraction that it once was. It is over commercialised and most definately not the 'real Tunisia'.
I hope this helps
